A brief and chronological history of

Doucet Latendresse Jewellers:
  • Jean-Paul & Madeleine Latendresse open their first jewellery store in Grand-Mère,Qc in 1946.
  • The same year, Jean-Paul Doucet also inaugurates his first jewellery store in Quebec City.
  • One year later, the Latendresse's open two new stores in Verdun and Shawinigan…The beginning of a long series of store openings.
  • Jean-Paul Doucet follows in 1960 with the opening of Place Laurier (Québec City), the first jewellery store bearing his name.
  • The Jewellery manufacture begins design and production in the 70s and both brands are acquired with separate entities.
  • In order to be able to serve an ever-increasing clientele base, Doucet & Latendresse merge in 1992.
  • The millennium sees the expansion of many new store openings ranking Doucet Latendresse as the largest jewellery chain in Quebec. A first store is also opened in the Ottawa region: Orleans, Ontario.
  • 2011: Doucet Latendresse inaugurates its new web portal with its new ONLINE shop, open to the North-American market.
  • 2018: Design of a new logo fusing Doucet and Latendresse as one. The brand is associated with many Quebec personalities and develops new jewellery collections aimed at attracting the new generation of consumers.
  • 2019: Launch of the new Doucet Latendresse website. An elegant, ergonomic and mobile-friendly website that best reflects that new, fresh look of the brand and optimizes the experience of today's online shoppers, especially with the increasing popularity of smartphones.
